Winfield at Nitro: Nitro may be in for a big season, almost as
large as its weighty trio. Winfield, on the other hand, may be in
for slimmer pickings than 1989's 5-5 mark.
"We're a lot bigger than they are,' said Nitro coach Greg
Cyrus. "But I know the (Cary) Crouch kid is a good quarterback and
they've moved 6-1, 190-pound (Nathan) Goff back to fullback. I know
they're going to play hard.'
Nitro's attack won't be fancy, said Cyrus. "We're going to
play power football. We'll take what these kids do and run it down
people's throats.'
Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Underwood Field.
