Here it is.
- V Don't be surprised if former West Virginia State College head
football coach Scott Tinsley resurfaces next season at Nitro High
School. Since Wildcats' head coach Greg Cyrus is planning to install
a new pass-oriented offense for the '95 campaign, hiring Tinsley as
offensive coordinator would be a natural.
Another factor is the impending transfer of Hayes Junior High
phenom J.R. House. If he enrolls at Nitro, House is expected to
start at quarterback next season as a ninth-grader. So, having
Tinsley on board to tutor the young quarterback would be extremely
beneficial.
Besides that, it would get Tinsley's foot in the door of the
Kanawha County Board of Education. That could be important down the
road when St. Albans head football coach Stan Smith retires.
