Robert "Little' Burdette is expected to become Nitro High School's new
head football coach.

Nitro principal Paul McClanahan has recommended Burdette to the Kanawha
County Board of Education.

Burdette, who served as the Wildcats' defensive coordinator last season,
would succeed Greg Cyrus as Nitro's head coach. Cyrus resigned to become
commissioner of the Mountain State Athletic Conference.
