NITRO 38, SCOTT 35: Wildcats quarterback J.R. House threw for 430
yards on 16 completions and one interception, while running back Zack
Collins had 93 yards rushing on 14 carries to lead the 6-1 Wildcats to
a narrow victory over the Skyhawks at Scott.

Collins added four catches for 150 yards.

The win ensures Nitro's first 500-plus season since 1983.

For Scott (1-6), tailback Josh Pearson rushed 21 times for 144 yards
and a TD. He also had one interception. Skyhawks fullback Jeremy Knapp
had 18 carries for 77 yards, while Scottie Green contributed 20
carries for 84 yards and two TDs.

House's total threatened the state's single game passing mark of 454
yards, set by Randy Hendricks in 1972.
