Zack Collins carried 21 times for 178 yards and broke the game open
for the visiting Nitro Wildcats with a 94-yard touchdown run with four
minutes left on the clock.

Nitro defeated Winfield 24-14.

After the Generals closed the gap to 17-14 on Jeremy Hoops' 20-yard
run with 10:02 to play, Winfield got the ball back and threatened to
take the lead. But after gaining a first-and-goal at the Nitro 5, the
Generals took four cracks and couldn't score. On the next play,
Collins raced 94 yards for a score and doomed Winfield to its 26th
straight loss and soured the debut of new coach Bruce McGrew.

Jason Ward hit 11-of-30 passes for Nitro for 243 yards and a TD.

For Winfield, Eric Marshall ran 16 times for 41 yards and Jeremy
Dozier carried nine times for 35 yards.
