All things must pass

Expect Nitro to continue to air it out despite the loss of
record-setting quarterback J.R. House.

Against Tolsia in their first scrimmage, the Wildcats scored five
touchdowns - four of them on passes. Starting quarterback Jason Ward
threw three and freshman Derek Midkiff one.

Nitro will also be banking on four talented transfer players - two
each from St. Albans (fullback-linebacker Chuck Pauley and
tailback-defensive back Chris Creamer) and Capital (Ward and
receiver-defensive back Steve Jones).

Jones caught a pair of TD passes against Tolsia, while Creamer had a
scoring run and reception. Junior Clarence Joyner caught the other TD
toss.
